Prayer of Faith

Based on Paul’s letters to the churches,

These Spirit inspired breaths are offered as seeds to spark a more intimate conversation

with God. As Paul wrote and expressed, his desire for the churches of his ministry, indeed we as a body, need and desire the peace and power – the effectiveness that only comes by prayer and fasting.

With that I make these prayers personal and offer them believing that as you begin to personalize these words. You begin to internalize the Word from God through His Spirit. You will see then see things begin to and ultimately change remarkably and  thoroughly in your life.

Ephesians 1:15-23 (ESV)

I pray the God of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, give me a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of my heart enlightened that I may know what is the hope to which I am called to; what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him up from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

Ephesians 3:14-21 (NASB)

I bow my knees before the Father from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that he would grant me according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His spirit in the inner man so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith; and that I being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth and to know the love  of Christ which surpasses knowledge that I may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that I can ask or think, according to the power that works in me, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
